Chess is a horrible game! It has caused me to overcook or burn so many dinners. Now I love my family, but placing burnt offerings before them is not a good way to express it. Too, I have neglected most other chores. I get stiff sitting at the computer for many minutes that leap into hours. I think chess stinks and I wish I coudl tear myself away from it.

yes my droog, tis' one of the most saucy games that can be had while sitting, although you could probably play standing or lying down... maybe i should try.  i guess the only other contender for best game would be go, but some may prefer tiddley winks and a good game of trivial pursuit goes down a treat after a sunday roast.  mouse trap was also pretty cool but i can't imagine it having as much longevity as chess has enjoyed over the centuries.  those are my thoughts...

Yes I am in agreement that chess is the best board game ever invented. My reasons are simple. I've never played the same game. Now, I'm no master by any means. But I've never played the same game, I never get bored playing either. I think all children should learn how to play the game of chess, even if it is on a computer. It has helped me so much in life with decision making at critical times. I'm a sports junky also. I can apply the principles of chess to any game whether it be football, baseball, hockey, soccer, lacross, basketball, either car racing... 100 % agreement here my friend !
