Woman No. 4 (in July)

While the 3 first on the womens list are more or less constant, we are now starting on the once that are changing position from list to list.

Now in July Tatiana Kosintseva is our number 4 (2562), this is the best position she ever have had. (She has been number 2 at Girls list, but is now to old to be there...)Tatiana is Russian and born in 1986. She has been WGM since 2001, but became GM last October (Oct 2009).

Along with elder sister Nadezhda, the six-year-old Tatiana became a chess player by virtue of a twist of fate. Wandering home from dance lessons with their mother, the pair happened upon a chess club and decided there and then to take up the game. You can read more about Tatiana here (from 2007) and here.
