A game and an Ending

Submitted by draco_alpine on Sun, 01/25/2009 at 7:30am.

As setting out with more than one game is hard i will show one game at time...

The story behind this game is interesting, this christmas i was given a copy of silmans endgame book and have read it devotedly having had for my birthday(april) understanding the chess opening by sam collins and been frustrated by the number of people not playing openings,i was delighted at having 6 correct moves from an opponent and then an ending won by principle not play,

This is a game is a team england game.

I hope its interesting and instructive!

Probably could win after 37...Bf5 but it looks difficult and slow as the KP endgame is drawn

Would 37...Bf5 have spoiled your plans though? How would you have gotten through that?
