IChessU chmp. Rd 3

Submitted by dsachs on Mon, 05/04/2009 at 11:37am.

I played the third round of the IChessU championship yesterday. I had White and things were going really well for me. As per the usual, I blunder away a nice position. It's frustrating but instructive. The opening was Sicilian Defence, Rossolimo variation. I had prepared this for him since I knew he played a Nc6 variation of the Sicilian and I like to surprise my opponents as much as possible.

I tried to put this into a puzzle format but I guess the changes to the insert board system have not been implemented fully. I'll put it up eventually.

Black plays 32...Bxf6 and you are hosed. If gxf6 then Rg8 and you lose the queen for a rook, and if exf6 you lose the queen outright. Don't worry blunders happen to everyone.
