Blitz going well

Lately I've been able to maintain a 1600+ blitz rating on playchess for the first time ever. One thing I've found very useful is GM Heinrik Danielson's blitz videos on www.videochess.net. I'm amazed at how he can make such simple moves and consistently beat 2600+ people on ICC. I think the trick to blitz is just making simple solid moves very very quickly, no flashy tactics or sacrifices, just play simply and build your position....but do it quick!
