Ontario Recreational Chess Championship

The fine folks at the Horizon Cricket Club in Brampton, Ontario hosted a rapid chess tournament yesterday. Many people from various Toronto chess clubs showed up for a day of unrated, trophy-laden fun. The tournament was a 5 round (+1 round for playoffs) G/15 swiss. Playing in this tournament I learned how much fun rapid chess is OTB and how much I suck at it! I scored 3/5 in the regular rounds, and won my playoff game to take home the trophy for 5th place. The tournament was held in an Indian restaurant and we all got free curry chicken at the end of the day
