I'll be leaving chess.com for a couple resones:

1.whining- no one cares about other's rating the worst thing that could happen is you can't play them, wich is good

2.the 3 day thing- if you leave for 4 days you are compleatly over and it takes a while to play good people

I also hve some idea's for both staff and players:

staff-get rid of vote chess!! no one likes it anymore. make things happen sooner, I pressed the butten to stop getting e-mails from chess.com, didden't work, a month later, still hasen't stoped

chess players: once again STOP WHINING!! no one cares that you like squirls, or that cheater_1 is at it again because, NO ONE CARES!!, at least that much my dad always tell's me that when my siset is annoying ignore her, I do, hard because he is loud but can't you block him and ignore the forms?

if that applys to any of you (all) please re-read your part

Are you leaving for spelling errors too? Maybe cognitive verbs aren't being used enough? I think you're joking about the whining. I got the joke. Do I get a cookie? Oh wait, my entire comment is moot! You're already gone!

 Bullet point time!

-You can change the amount of time you have to make a move.

-You can go on vacation.

-Vote chess is easily ignored by those who don't like it and easily enjoyed by those who do.

-Set your spam filter for chess.com if it's that bad.

-Some people are entertained by cheater_1. He's kind of like vote chess I guess.

-Have fun playing chess elsewhere, I'm sorry you don't like it here as much as I do.

I won't tell you not to leave, that is your choice. But I will say this, you won't find a better site to play on. I've tried them all, one of them I played on for several years. But once I found this one, Ive never even logged on to the others. If you don't like players whining, follow your own advice, ignore them. But don't expect to find less of that at other sites.

You told you're tired of whining... And your post is FULL of it! You're whining about cheater_1, about vote chess, about spam, about others whining... If you really want to leave you can do it without whining.

I have no problem with unexpected vacation, as you see.

Not having spam filter: what mailbox do you use?! As I know all normal post services have filters ( I'm using one against "It's your move" ). Use Gmail, it works fine for me.

If you don't like forums (because of whining ) but others do, why would WE ignore them. This is YOU who's got to ignore them.

Whole world's full of whining, in case you didn't see before.

He just wants some attention, if he really wanted to leave, he'd do it without any threads.

#1 - lots of people care about their ratings.

#2 - it's called "VACATION" setting. use it when you can't come online.

#3 - plenty of people enjoy vote chess.

#4 - you can set your email preferences here:  http://www.chess.com/home/alerts.html

#5 - when somebody does something you don't like, try ignoring them instead of letting them bother you. works wonders.

maybe we'll see you in a few years when you mature and figure out how to solve some of the problems that are bothering you.

good luck with your flash games! try desktop tower defense - it's my favorite!

Life can be tough, so can chess. Ignore that which bothers you and enjoy the game of chess for yourself. Each of us has a different, motive, ambition, goal, etc with chess -find what yours is and pursue that with energy and joy- Good Luck and the best to you-

Well you're right on point #1 i don't care about others ratings, that is your own worry i care about my rating .

Point #2 if you don't like the 3 day thing then play slower time controls

And don't presume you speak for all of us when you say NO ONE cares about certain topics on this site so my advice to you is if you don't like it here then leave but don't try to make a big production out of it because in your own words NO ONE cares.

I was assaulted and got my skull fractured in three places and suffered severe head trauma a week and a half ago. Only now can I start reading again without getting a severe headache. Even now chess is still daunting. If not for my upgraded membership I would have lost my games and though the rating loss would have been dissapointing the oppurtunity to play those games out would have been worse. My membership allows me to switch automatically to vacation when my time is about to run out for times like these and I feel that it works perfectly. I'm sure some people in my quick game tournament aren't happy about it, but when I can play again I'll apologize like an adult and see how the cookie crumbles in the game. I have never been a member of a site that, I feel, was better put together and shows so much promise for progress. I've never even participated in forums before I came here!

Really I'm adding this comment to say that I was not whining and, if tonal quality can be read, I was a tad flippant.

P.s. Gmail is indeed very amazing.

Good luck to you - I personally love chess.com and I wouldn't change a thing. Perhaps if you would have learned how to actually use this site you would have be happier. By the way, that little check mark with the ABC above it in your text box is called spell check. And you are right, I don't care about anyone else's rating.

PS Quit your whining!
