Here is a recent live chess game of  mine that I felt I could have done a lot better. I usually blunder my way through openings and often times find myself down, but I also that one of my strengths is towards the end game or applying pressure on my opponent and waiting for them to slip up. Take a look at this recent game and feel free to leave comments. I was under time pressure towards the end and was more than happy to take the draw against an opponent that was rated higher than myself.

    Thanks IM Pruess. I know when I looked back at it once it was all over I have no idea why I had to even think about move 13 for as long as I did. It should have been obvious to point the pawns towards his king and open the lane for my bishop.

    hey Matt,

    couple points:

    1) on move 13, you should take back with the e-pawn not the c-pawn because it opens the bishop on c8, which is the most important factor in that decision, by far.

    2) on move 21, you should take on f1 with your queen, getting two rooks for the queen, which is a goooood deal!
