Hubby: "We never played chess in those days."

Wifey: "Yeah you're right but even then, it took you two hours to move."

I think the joke is supposed to be "... took you 2 hours to MAKE a move" ie make a move on her, like going for a kiss or what have you. You see?

It doesn't make as much sense without that part.
