When 'A Matter Of Technique' Isn't Enough

So let's quickly set the stage...

We're in the finals of a small tournament.  I am 0.5 points behind my opponent and so must win with the black pieces in order to claim first place.  My opponent and I have the exact same rating and a rather significant prize is up for grabs.  To my delight, we end up in an opening that I know well and score handsomely in.  I outplay my opponent in the opening, and then further in the midgame.  Unfortunately... the endgame is just digusting!

Enjoy! :P.

Bc7 gets forked but the king can come to d7 not sure if it draws just a thought of why 40...Bc7 could have drawn.

20...Bd4 seemed like a good idea, if your opponent saw e5 your bishop could have gotten kinda bad.

37...c3??? My chess engine calls it a mate in 12.

Good job creating chances with black, and thanks for posting.

Why does 40. ... Bc7 salvage a draw? 41. Nxe6+ is still a fork.
