I'm trying to find out the total number of possible chess positions. Call me stupid, but I am. I'm not even close, but I've figured out that with ONLY 2 kings on the board, there are 8752 possible legal positions(not including ones with the kings next to eachother, that not being a legal position). I'll keep you updated with what I find.
