Confidence Booster

This one is for all of you that are having a hard time with chess.com lately. I have noticed that a lot of people give up on chess.com after a teribble loss. Let me tell you this, I am a 6th grader (as of 2009) who is a terrible chess player compared to most adults, but i have a lot of confidence. Confidence has helped me a lot. At one point my chess.com rating was around 927 and my oponet was around 1437. When I first started I thought fot sure that I had no chance, but I didn't give up. Let me tell you this, I beat him. Did i give up? No. Trust me here, if I can beat a player that much higher ranked than me, then i truly beilieve that anyone can.

Rational conclusion my friend, and you should be proud. I wish you luck, and I know that if you put in time and study you will bloom into a great chess player.

Good spirit!! chess is all about playing the game, not all about winning. most important is not losing... the believe in yourself. maybe it doesn,t come easy, but for a quitter it doesn,t come at all.

It's all about having fun and elarning as you go, a month or 2 ago, my rating was a 902. I pulled off a few good wins, read a few articles, looked at a few games, changed my style of play a little bit and now my rating is a 1209.

It can be very dificult as a starting chess player, especially as you tend loose a lot in the begining. Keep in mind though, that you learn a lot more from your mistakes than you do from your victories. Keep at it though and you will have a passtime that will keep you engaged and challenged for your entire life.
