How is it possible that the King doesn't put himself in check when making this move?

I just watched the video and I think I see the move that confused you... I think they were just moving him around for demonstration purposes while they were talking about what you have to do when a king is in check. It looks like for a second they move the king forward onto a rank controlled by two rooks, and then they move him back - maybe just to kindof be like "He wishes he could go here but he clearly can't".
