Losing to the Expert
A week after my first win against an expert, I faced another expert and ended up losing this time. On the other hand, I played much better in this game than the one that I won. I kept things fairly even, reaching an endgme I probably should have drawn. I can identify at least a couple rook moves I'd love to have back.
If I had to do it over again, I would not have played 34. Rb8, stuffing my rook into the corner. To be fair, I was under intense time pressure to reach the 35-move time control at the time. I also would like to take back 55. Ra1 which seems like a completely pointless move, instead playing 55. Bb3. I can't blame that move on time pressure.
All in all, though, a fairly well-played game considering both sides were under time pressure for much of the game.
