Playing the Master
Here is my one and only one rated game played against a USCF master. I didn't appear to make any major mistakes, but fell into a lost endgame.
If I had to do it again, I'd take back move 38. Nc7 and instead play 38. Ng7. To avoid repetition of position or loss of a pawn, black would have to eventually play 38. ... f4, after which my knight could escape and I could have tried to draw. No guarantee I would have drawn, anyway, but it would have given me a better chance.
