I learned chess by playing through great chess players games, Alekhine games were a big part of my training, I felt in love with many of those games and it took me a long time before I accepted that contemporary chess players like Fischer, Karpov, Kasparov..etc were better players than great players like capablanc, lasker, alekhine..etc, the fact is that many of those amazing moves we see in many of the games from old masters like Alekhine..etc were found after the game was adjourned and then resumed a few hours later or in some cases game were even resumed next day or a couple of days later, in those days  the master with the strongest analyzing techniques had an big edge over other players with weaker analyzing skills, players like Fischer, Karpov or Kasparov played most of their most amazing games without adjourning games
