Outside passed pawns: - a strong argument in chess!

In one of my free OTB - games came up following position:

 


I had had for a long time the initiative and now I saw the chance to transpose into a better bishop endgame with an outside passed pawn

1. ... Bxg2 !

The bishop cannot be taken, because of f3!

Presumely this position is lost anyway cause of the extra pawn in b-file and the active king. But creating an outside passed pawn brought a quick decision:

You should write books. Your format is clear and understandable. Some books are so full of algebraic notation, they are hard to follow. You explained a simple, but important concept very well. Nice job.
