My best loss: powerplay in the f-file!

The following game is probably one of my best I played here at chess.com. It was against a strong danish player ( rating 2200 ) -

I had some problems in the early middlegame. So my opponent succeeded with installing a strong knight in my position and was ready to move forward with his  pawn majority at queenside. No good prospects for me! -

So what should I do? Wait till he wins at queenside?  I decided to go for "all or nothing"- play at the kingside" ! I looked forward to go for a

                                      powerplay in the f-file

( please look also in move list)

So why did I resign such a fine game? -

At that point I decided because of some irritations ( I do not want explain this closer) to resign all my other games. And remaining with only this game, it would have been lead to a big rating loss of my opponent.- So I gave it also up with some regret!

nice game.actually your position is good interm of tactical. You used all your pieces and you know the strength of opponent knight by killing it. So you will start proceed to forced the center pawn and use tactically game to win...i enjoy your game and thank you for sharing.

Nicely put together win Heinrich, even if you "lost".  Very nice, I alwasy appreciate the forced moves, I am trying to learn and apply them better and more consistently, this depth is a very good example of great chess.  Thanks for sharing, even though it was a painful experience to lose such a game, it was a clear win.

Great game Heinrich. I think your opponent knew that his case was lost when you resigned. Everything looks forced subsequently after move 10.  I am sure about that.

I understand about the other irritations you had going on during this game (from your previous posts on our Team Notes).  It was honorable for you to withdraw, even though not required.  Now I see an even bigger picture of why the issue with auto-vacation and timing-out was such an irritation.

Sometimes it's hard to deal with things like this, but in the grander scheme, we have peace with God, and in the end, chess is only a game.  Don't get me wrong.  I'm not trying to minimize chess, nor our desire to be good at it.  This was an awesome game.  It's too bad you couldn't finish it with a good feeling about it.  But, you took a much bigger step towards Christ-likeness, even if your opponent knew nothing about it.  God sees all, and He sees your heart, and one, day, you will be rewarded for your efforts, small though they may appear to others.
