The old rule!

                                               The old rule!

                "If you have a lead in development, open the position!"

In a  online game on a german server my opponent played a little bit careless in opening. He was back in development and pieces looked a bit uncoordinated. I remembered the old rule and opened the center. 10 moves later my opponent resigned :

(some variations are to see in move list)

@mauerblume :

           Thanks Sir,for a very helpful & instructive post because we often tend to miss such opportunities for the development of our game!

             You need  not  bother about the baseless comments by some (immature) guys ,as we have always been a witness to your valuable contribution @ chess.com ,in the form of a group leader & coach of the group "Learning with Fun"! The warm,healthy & supportive environment of the group is the result of not only the brilliant  chess skills but as an honest,patient  & a humble person!

It never ceases to amaze me how negative and carping some people on this chess site can be.  Perhaps I'm just not cynical enough.  But mauerblume's latest offering on the old rule is a case in point.  Personally I found it most helpful and instructive - as I have always found his work to be.

Furthermore, I have never detected in his work any indication on his part to show just how brilliant a player or thinker he is.  I simply see in him an honest-to - goodness person who is trying to spread the gospel of chess on this site in an interesting and colourful way.

Alles Beste.

I think you missed here a little bit the point ,- and bytheway also the good tone  ,- !

I did not post this game to show my "brilliancy", but as an example of the efficiency of that  old rule .

Are you kidding??? You gus are excepcional samples of chess players.

Why? Cause you guys come in here, with a lousy game example, in which your opponent's play was simply a disaster, and you brag about your win.

IT'S RIDICULOUS.
