The simple path!
Some of the books, which have influenced me very much, are the 3 books of
"The Art of Simplification"
from GM Nesis.
The main idea is to go for simplifications, when at the end of such a handling a good endgame is waiting.
Here a game,- not out of those books -, which demonstrates this idea very clearly:
