I am a chess fan I love to watch great players fight against each other but I also love to play the game myself. Since I really dislike losing I am too competitive I need to be always reading about chess and training. If you play chess yourself you might have found out how many books there is to read about the subject, chess as more books written about it than any other sport in the world! And rightly so, it is such a vast subject and human life is so small to be able to understand it fully. One fact that every book and chess trainer seems to agree on is that the way to improve our strength on the chess board is by improving our tactical sense. I have dozens of books on tactics myself, but training tactic positions by watching them on the board in our computer screen, makes it much easier and even funnier for me. This is where a website like Chess Tactics Server becomes really useful. Now I will explain in detail everything CTS has to offer its users.

Chess Tactics Server (CTS) is a website that provides us with a great free tool which allow us to train tactics online for free.

Currently they have 23,803 tactical chess problems with a degree of difficulty ranging from trivial to ambitious are provided to be solved against the clock. Your tactical performance will be measured by the Glicko rating system. The problems are rated too.

We can sign in completely anonymous as guest to get familiar with the chess board interface, browse some problems or just look around.

If interested, you’ll just need a valid email address to register and join the community.

One of the advantages in registering for a free account with the website is to be able and post in their Message Boards, and also to request help with some issue we may find on the website.

What follows is the description provided in the website itself:
