A reflection on cramped positions

Submitted by mueller on Sun Feb 8, 2009 12:13pm.

This game is part of a Chess.com an exhibition match between the Pacific Northwest Team and Irish Team. I'll annotate the game so you don't have to read too much now.                I had a great deal of fun this game. There was ... Read more »

A masterpiece in 3 minutes.

Submitted by mueller on Thu Nov 13, 2008 8:04pm.

I just played this game on FICS earlier today. Even though it was a 3 minute game, I really enjoyed how I switched from a kingside attack to a queenside attack to a series of exchanges in the middle of the board that lead to my opponent resigning. Read more »

mueller 1 Rybka 231

Submitted by mueller on Fri Oct 3, 2008 12:02pm.

My track record with Rybka is pretty much what people would assume, I lose every time. I started playing 1 minute games with her to learn openings. If she moves instantaneously, she is still in her book, and if she starts thinking its out of book.... Read more »

Submitted by mueller on Thu Sep 4, 2008 4:18pm.

I decided to go to the Oregon Open Chess tournament. I did about as comically middle of the road as possible. My wins from blunders, my loses were due to blunders. It was a 3 day tournament, 2 rounds a day, 40/20 SD/1. I can make excuses, but basi... Read more »

A strange attack

Submitted by mueller on Wed Aug 27, 2008 10:25am.

This is a game I just played here using a 24/hours a move setting, and as per typical of my games with this opponent, they have been fast and wild and this game was no exception. I know there are lots of ways I could have played it better as for s... Read more »

A fun bishop battle

I hope all of you enjoy this game as much as I did. I had fun with my bishops,  and slowly pushed back the black camp&nbs... Read more »
