Happy 200th

Submitted by oginschile on Sat, 05/24/2008 at 3:38am.

I've just recently turned 200 wins old here at chess.com, and I think I did feel a few shiny new IQ points added to my total.

I didn't do it without losing a fair amount of games, some real embarrassing ones too. But in honor of myself (and this momentous occasion), I am forgetting my dreadful losses and celebrating some of my wins!

This came in a tournament I played recently. A fine win against an opponent who actually played a very nice game against me in our other game, and he picked up the win. But I made a nice mating net in this game.

Gee, that felt so good.. I might just honor myself at 250 wins too!

Actually, I plan to post 2 or 3 very instructive losses in my archives. But for today... happy 200th to me!

Thanks, I enjoyed that game very much. To my half-baked eye there were no obvious mistakes from black (I'm sure there are, just nothing that popped out at me), but I was able to obtain a strong attack anyway. Very fun to play through. And the queen sac I found after he played Kg6, it was very fun to find.

I can't believe 26 people read this and no one commented on the first game.

Shades of Morphy!

The second game was nice, but the first game was Truly Wonderful.

Thanks for sharing them.
