Poll: How are you being affected in this recession?

It's been awhile since I've updated this blog. Sorry-things have been hectic lately.

Anyway, I'm going to step away from the topic of chess for this post and focus on the current recession. How is it affecting you and your family? Have you or anyone you know been laid off from a job?

As for me, luckily I've been gainfully employed so far, but as an employee of a consulting organization, it is becoming harder to land commercial clients. I also do know of some friends who have been laid off from their jobs.

Cooking business is gaining a bit of competition lately.Restraunts seem to be a nice backup for alot of ppl when jobs dry up.I'm getting at least an application a day.

Not at the moment...medical equipment business is still going strong...our clients, big and small hospitals still purchase equipments to upgrade their diagnostic capabilities...i hope none of us will be affected...God bless us all.....
