Shortest book on chess play.

Having played a number of games with new comers and suggesting to read a book on the various topics and getting answers like: I will make it through myself as books are too lengthy.

I now ask readers to suggest a list of books for beginners that do need help and are or may be interested to read a book wiht 100 pages plus or minus a few pages.

A real challenge I would say.

What books do you suggest for the following categories:

1. Openings

2, Strategy

3. End game

I do realize that many posts exists on this site about books for all levels, but let me repeat I want books with 100 pages plus or minus 10 pages that have value.

My own first book back in the 60's was from the Marabout collection in France, it had about 120 pages.

Let me hear your suggestions and we can, I think help new players become better by learning basics that they want and need.

Well, Dan Heisman's "Everyone's 2nd chessbook" is just 119 pages (117 if you skip "about the author", 112 if you consider it starts on page 7) and covers different aspects of the game for the true beginner, also practical OTB advices concerning time management, thought process etc. Hmm, come to think of it, I probably should reread it since it's been more than a year since I finished it...
