My Sept 6, 2007 Tournament

The tournament was nice. It was a game between different academic organizations in our school. Actually it is part of the Pahamapang 2007 (Sports Fest). The tournament was hosted by the UPV Grandknights Chess Club (I am one of the founding members and current Treasurer).

The tournament was by Swiss system with four rounds. On the first round, my team lossed 2 games (we had 2 boards thus a team is composed of two people). On the last 3 games we won all games giving us a total score of 6 points. We had a tie with another team but we lost after a match with them.

Our team won 2nd anyway.

Well thanks, but I cannot post my games since the tournament does not require players to record their games so I can't post any. But then I learned a lot from the games I played there. Before I am so fond of attacking with pawn, which tends me to over-push them thus they became liability rather than assets.
