Recently a friend (Dozy) of mine wrote about the top bloggers on chess.com. His post really got me to thinking about all of the great articles he has written. As a creative writing teacher he is far more qualified than I and his articles are original. This is the kind of writing that makes chess interesting. I encourage you to look him up. We can all learn something from his silver haired wisdom.

Here in this great chess community, I can think of nothing better than to make chess interesting to all. Here are links to some of his posts.

No insult intended but I merely meant to convey your experience at life not to mention at writing and we could all learn from a little "been there done that." Silver is a precious metal - just as precious should be those who have born the flag longer. When others turn to computers and hard analysis, I prefer the people and personalities of the game, that is what makes chess interesting!

That's uncommonly kind of you, qtsii, and very much appreciated.

However, I'm not too sure about "silver haired".  Chrome domed might be more accurate.  I'm losing it fast.

But silver haired reminds me of a line from Scott's Lay of the Last Minstrel where he introduces an ancient monk by saying, "A hundred years had flung their snows on his thin locks and floating beard".

I'll own up to the thin locks and floating beard, but have a few chess games to play before I reach the century.

Smile
