Submitted by razorblade12 on Tue, 08/18/2009 at 7:21am.

When chess.com went down for approximately 2 hours yesturday, Vesped and me (with Nytik as a referee) decided to have our first Kriegspiel chess experiences. The first game didnt go well for me... i didnt really understand the rules and lost to a scholers mate :P. But here the second game which was a better contest

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kriegspiel_%28chess%29 <- here is a link to the rules. each player has a board where they can see their own pieces. the referee has a board with all of the pieces on. you are allowed to ask whether you have any pawn captures availiable and that is it. however if the move you wish to make is illegal, then the referee can tell you that it is illegal and you can select another move :P
