Eugene, Oregon

Traveling through today's airports is rarely a treat. This trip started in Finspang, Sweden which is a 40 minute taxi ride (842 Kronor) to Linkoping, Sweden. From Linkoping I flew to Amsterdam and went through passport control. Amsterdam is a short 9 hour flight to Alanta, Georgia. I was scheduled to fly to Albuquerque, NM, San Francisco, CA then to Eugene, Oregon but...

Alanta is notrious for delays and today was no exception. The flight to ABQ was delayed 2 1/2 hours which would have me miss my connection to SFO and I'd be stuck overnight. Delta is a gracious carrier and allowed me to change my flight plan to Portland, Oregon.

The United flights to SFO and EUG were cancelled and a new ticket purchased from Alaska Airlines. The new plan is Portland, Oregon to Medford, Oregon to Eugene, Oregon.

After all the delays, cancellations and reroutes I arrive in my home town 20 minutes before originally planned. So, why didn't I get this route to begin with? That's one of those questions isn't it.

Be safe out their folks and wear loose shoes.
