first round of games

I need to work on my opening and endgame. As white, i'm letting black come down too far. As black i've made some positional errors...mostly with the queen side fianchetto (along with not blocking white's advance).
Can tell a huge difference in play at 1350+ I'm only going to play those people with 1350 minimum rating I think. I'm going to try to finish this round of games, then study a little bit, then maybe go for a tournament or something.
