First attempt at commenting

This is my first attempt at commenting on a game I played.  I have not analyzed this game using Fritz or Babas Chess, so I am sure there are better moves I could have played.  You also may see much better moves that I could have made, if so feel free to add a comment.

Thank both of you for your comments.  Yes my opponent did self destruct and it was lucky for me.  Likesforest, you are right my pawn structure is very weak and I should have captured with the knight.  I just missed the move.

Erik's right, your opponent seemed to self-destruct from move 21 onwards. But luck favors the prepared. You were prepared to take advantage. :)

One question I had while playing over the game... do you know that doubled, isolated pawns are a really bad pawn structure? In most cases, one of them will drop off, leaving you a pawn down. The reason I ask are two moves:

13...Be6 - This allows 14.Bxe6 fxe6 which your opponent missed.

20...fxe6 - You also had the choice of 20...Nxe6 which would've avoided the weak pawn structure (perhaps you were worried about 21.Bxa7 but taking an h-pawn with a bishop is not a good idea... it's met by 21...b6 and the bishop is trapped and will be lost for the price of a second pawn) and seems like the right way to go.
