In this great game, Bent Larsen, one of the Bird's highest-level practitioners, demolishes Boris Spassky, the Russian world champion, in the Amsterdam Interzonal of 1964. In the game, Larsen acquires a good advantage from the opening, and builds this into a strong attack, but Spassky's stellar defence forces him to work very hard for the win.
