can you re-read that: "blue screen of death doesn't mean your hard disk is necessarily checkmated. " "Maybe it wasn't your hard drive that fell victim to the blue-screen-of-death"

this isn't chess and is there a blue screen of death tactic? I would love to use that but my dad got a new hard drive and now it works

blue screen of death doesn't mean your hard disk is necessarily checkmated. Maybe it only was in check. Maybe it wasn't your hard drive that fell victim to the blue-screen-of-death tactical ingenuity over there.

One thing IS sure though - you have resigned your hard drive for good now.
