What do people think about chivalry in chess and in the world in general? Anything goes.
Chivalry will never be dead if one follows it.

Yes, but how do you think this kind of philosophy is embodied in the world. Is chivalry truly dead in your mind?
Ah, thank you.
Kind regards,
Well put notofthisworldC28! Not much left for me to add :)
Chivalry is one of the greatest codes mankind has ever created, possibly the greatest. Chivalry is made up of several qualities: justness, loyalty, gallantry, purity, etc. Chivalry on the chessboard is respecting your adversaries, even your rivals. As the Bible says in Proverbs, return good for evil, never return evil for evil. If your opponent kicks you under the table, make no notice of it. Smile and congratulate them after the game nonetheless.
Personally, I draw the line at sacrificing my king to save my queen.
