Thank you

When you read my poetry from the past

I want you to know that the pain doesn't last.

The memories I have, will never fade away

But without them, I wouldn't be who I am today

Even though life's obstacles have taken their toll

I am a strong woman in heart, mind, body and soul

Thank you to all who have used, abused and hurt me soo

Thank you to all who supported me and helped me grow

I used to think that everything was my loss, my burden to bare

Now I know that I am a woman who is very rare

No I am not perfect nor will I ever be

But by the Grace of God, I am happy to be me.

I got a poem of mine published once in a book of poetry for schools in the southeast I don't remember the title and I can't find the book right now, but I will be looking. From what I have read from your other poems you have a nice touch for poetry, keep up the good work.

Dave, I too wrote alot of the poetry when I was young, have a 2 inch binder full, front and back.  I have found the older I get the harder it has been to write, sometimes I feel as if I am in writers block.  Maybe reading some of these can help you trigger some old memories, or help you to write some more good ones.
