A few puzzles

I recently finished the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. And SURPRISE... my Male superego is still intact.

An excellent series if you get the chance. The movie for the first book "Twilight" is coming out this December I believe. Definitely leans more toward the female Genre (Love story), but with a very interesting twist that A man like me can... sink his teeth into.

I haven't been blogging, I haven't been playing very much, I've been busy reading this damned series of books and being me in general.

So I figure I haven't posted any puzzles for a while... here's a few from my recent games. None to be taken too seriously of course.

Enjoy...

I absolutely agree! 4.Qxc5# (mate) is gaining material... pawn in this case ;)

Yes yes, a plethera of mating choices, but for reasons that only a genius like me could understand... Qc5# is clearly superior.

I mean Qa4# just doesn't read as well in pgn format does it now. And Ra4#... lets not even go there. Qc5# is simply the sexiest move available.

You read the Twilight Series?  heh heh- what a girl- that explains why I can never beat you, I'm always playing against 2 Queens instead of one. Kiss

For those of you who want to report me for mental cruelty or can't take a joke, I'm just messin' with Ogie.

Ah yes, thanks Lubo, correcting me as always... haha. And in the last puzzle 3... Kc8 also allows the game to go on. Me and my analysis.. sheesh.

    Thanks for the comments.

Entertaining stuff.  As always, they're a lot easier to see when you know they're there than to find in play.  Well done...
