As it all started

When I was a little boy, our family was the first on our block to own a television. My sister was 2 1/2 years older and thus was given the privileged of selecting the TV show of her choice.  Some of those times, I didn't enjoy what she had selected, so my dad would suggest that we would go into the kitchen and play some Chess.  Well, that was how I learned the game of Chess. He had been proficient enough to play in many tournaments.  Now, even though he had passed away many years ago, I feel that he is looking over my shoulder and advising me of some of my moves (or is gaging at my blunders).  Even though I am not that good at this game, I still enjoy it.

Sorry Queenie that I did not see any messages from anyone.  I must check back here more often.  You are so nice for your comment about that "nice person behind that camera".  I sure try to be.  And if you are ever to come to Monterey California, I would welcome you here too.  (maybe play a few SPEED CHESS games too.. if you like ;) ... And no, my sister never wanted to learn chess.  Thanks for taking the time to read about me.

I find what you've written show's there's a nice person hiding behind that camera. Plus your sister did you a favour picking all those uninteresting programs. Does she play chess?
