Hey everyone who reads this blog (which is not really anyone)..

I just broke 1300 in blitz! :D

I find this is a major improvement in my chess skillz, and shows that I'm really, really becoming better..

When you first start chess, people have said there were several barriers to break-- the 1000 barrier, to learn to play, the 1300 barrier, to know basics inside and out, and 1500 barrier, which means you're really freaking good. (Also an 1800 barrier when you begin to go pro)

Here was one of my new games as a 1300 which I felt I played pretty well- the opponent was also 1300 and really unpredictable. The whole game came down to tactics in the end, but I was able to hold my own. :D
