The strongest players of Chess today are computers while the strongest players of GO are humans. GO is in fact a more complex game. In a typical GO game played on a 19x19 board you could potentially have a couple of hundred moves while in a Chess game you may have 20 potential move. The possibilities in GO are infinite.
