A Chess960 game where extra central space leads to a kingside attack ending in two sacrificed pieces and checkmate.

If ....Bb4+ then c3/Nd2/Qc2/Nb3 looks like a nice setup why didn't I think of that!
Enjoy 960

@glider I think Bb4+ can be met by c3. This supports the center, forces black to use a tempo retreating the bishop and allows development by Nd2 and Qc2. Note that I did play a3 before Nc3 to prevent the Bb4 pin. By the way, thanks for your long post on opening pawn moves in chess960 on a previous post. I intend to look at that framework more carefully.
@Thrasher, thanks for pointing that out. I guess in positions like this there are simply too many attackers around the king for the king to survive.

gxh6 would prevent Qf4 mate, but only by 1 move.

Great stuff Loomis nice comments thanks for sharing your game. It took a lot of bravery to open up the king so soon with d4. An early diagonal attack that it offers black has to be played with a lot of caution. The issue is ...Bb4+ what do you think? Black could double pawns on the c-file or disrupt the development of your b1 knight defending the check with Nd2 and blocking the queen on c1. I'm really not sure.
The time control was move in 3 days. Chess.com doesn't have live chess960 yet. At move 15 I probably just didn't calculate very well. Black can't prevent gxh5 on the following move anyhow, so I didn't think there was any urgency to open the file immediately.
@nyLsel -- I don't know what you mean about "why didn't I finish the game". The game is over, black is checkmated in 2 moves.

Excellent game with excellent commentary. I'm very impressed.

u should mention the time controls, but nice commentary. Im surprised you didn't exchange on ply 15 as you pointed out. I like seeing good players analyze 960, keep it up and maybe this site will add Chess960 to Live Chess sometime soon! I'm sick of going to chesscube.
kulicuu
you mean black resigned?

Welcome to my blog! In the USCF I am rated 1921.
The content posted here is from my real chess experience, either games I've played or observed. I'll try to put an instructive twist on it. So if you're looking for a glimpse into how a B player thinks about the game, check in and see what I've got. Well, recently my rating has gone over 1800, so perhaps I should list myself as class A instead of class B, but it's not a huge difference.
