   THE ART OF CHESS?

Is there an intuitive part of chess or is it all rational thinking?

What is the relationship between faith and intuition?

Intuition is a feeling based on past experience, while faith is a strong belief based on what? also on past experiences perhaps? Spiritual and religous inclinations? One's view of life?

Faith seems to be a stronger internal factor. People can have intuitive perceptions without having much faith in anything!

When logic reaches its end, then intuition takes over?

There is a fair amount of intuition involved in the thinking process. After the assesment which is on purely logical motifs of tactical and strategic strengths and weaknesses; a plan is needed and the master usually can find one easily. When multiple plans occur then intuition is used to help ferret out the best choice. Masters rarely calculate, they depend on experience and intuition to guide them along. A tactical player knows what to do when there is something to do and a strategic player knows what to do when there is nothing to do.Cool
