Conditional Moves

Recently I have been using the conditional moves option a few times. Some people see this feature as rude and against the etiquette of the game. I suggest only using this feature for extremely slow players who log on, make one move, then log off quickly. Also, for locked position endgames where checkmate is inevitable. What say you chess.com community? Cool

Okay, what if I want to put a conditional move.

    How do I do it?

What happens to the move if he moves something else?

    Does the conditional move dissapears?

    Thank you

Yea, I agree MM, the option is there. So use it. Chess.com has added this feature and all users, especially paying members should use every feature without worrying about someone else's feelings! Cool

I've been mostly using them if the reply is pretty much forced or against opponents in a diff time zone.  Etiquette wise I have had no problem with people who have made cond moves against me. On the other hand I have avoided doing it when i saw a forced mate in 5 as I thought that might be a bit rude, bit like announcing a forced mate otb  I suppose although there you could be wrong and make a fool of yourself.  However I must admit there are some people I'd love to stuff with a sequence of cond moves Wink and vice versa no doubt.

Bottom line they're there, use them

I say use them whenever you want

I sometimes try to get a conditional move in even when my opponent is online to see if I can predict his or her next move correctly

Adds to the fun of the game for me!!!!
