This is a game I played on Live Chess where I managed to initiate a strong attack against my opponent, after I had made a big mistake in my opening. Hope you enjoy it and maybe even learn something (I certainly did).
There was nothing wrong with 6.Bd3. Rybka even considers 6...Bxd4 to be a blunder, since you can retrieve the piece (as you did), when black's dark squares have become very weak.
Furthermore, 8...Nf6 was another mistake by your opponent, since you could have played 9.Nd5! (the c6 pawn is pinned by the bishop), when 9...cxb5 10.Nxf6+ ruins black's king position even more and 9...Nbd7 10.Bg5 cxd5 11.Bxd7+ retrieves the piece and leaves black with isolated doubled pawns.
9.e5 further weakened black's position (note that 9...dxe5 10.Qxe5+ Bd6 doesn't work because of 11.Nd5! threatening both Nc7+ and Nxf6+). After 10...0-0?? you had a won game, since black's castled position is completely unsound. You then executed your opponent with a solid victory, well played.
cool
White could have gone 31. Qxb8#
but white won anyway. :):):)
