We drew the last match and ended on 17th place... Unfortunately our second board made 1 out of 5:-( And I did -2. While 4th board Fakhiridou got a bronze medal for her performance.

The event has officially finished:-) and you can see lots of interesting games and videos/photos in the menu of the official website of the tournament!

All the best!

So Greece 1 had a bye in the first round and in second we lost 1.5-2.5 to Holland. I lost to Peng and Papadopoulou lost to Schuurman. Today we play Azerbajdzhan. It is also a tough match and we are looking forward to it!

There is a nice ChessBase report on the event and of course you can download the games from the official website of the tournament!

Greece is a beautiful country, and you are a beautiful girl.

All the best to you in your new tournament, and in your new home.

Hi Yelena,

Thanks for the advanced notice. This looks like it will be a very strong tournament and on board 1 you should have some good games and competition. I'm looking forward to some exciting games.

Thanks for the link, Yelena. Smile  Good luck to the Welsh team!  They will face a lot of excellent opponents, so they will need to be at their best.
