g6 and the Immobile Rook...

It isn't often that one would answer with g6 to White's opening moves of e4 and Qh5. But when that occurs it is like Christmas on the 4th of July ! I too have fallen for the banana in the tailpipe trick. I too have fallen for moves that peel away the layers of pawn protection exposing an immobile Rook. And that brings me to this one point. Learn from my mistakes. Survey the scenarios that may unfold thoroughly. Have fun because this is only a game. At the same, apply what we learn in chess to our everyday lives. Especially in this new economy. Make wise decisions as they pertain to the security of our families and our legacies. The chess of life !

Look, I don't want to have a fight about it! Like I said it is only my suggestion.

And, it was said in my comment that it is better to do Nf6" instead g6", so the queen must retrait! And no immobile rook...

What an idiot ! Does he not see that those are the first two moves and that g6 to answer the Queen to h5 is a mistake in the first place ? Nf6 ? How 'bout Nc6 to prevent the capture of the pawn, check, and then subsequently Qxh8 ? Once the Queen arrives at e5 to check the King with the THIRD move, the Rook is IMMOBILE and WILL BE captured !

Even when I would have done "4 ... Nf6" instead of "4 ... g6" I don't think moving g pawn would expose an immobile Rook since f6 square is free for the Knight and the Black's Kingside Bishop might take h7 square; once there Castles (7 ... O-O) will protect my King and the Rook would be able to move forward to the attack or deffense.

Your idea of thinkink twice before making any move is good and as you said this is only a game, but I definately needed to expose my position about your "g6 and the Immobile Rook..."
