Unlucky Jim.  It's very frustrating losing on time.  I don't think I have ever lost on time, I tend to blunder when under time pressure, which is equally frustrating.  There was still a lot of life left in the game. Although you were down the exchange, your pieces were active and you had a choice of pawns to take.  I would have played B x b5 to weaken the pawns.

the above game was played on wednesday 7th December at Gorgie Chess Club, the meet in the local Community  Centre in the heart of Edinburgh next to the famous Hearts fc.

the match started at 7.00 as the club have to be out for ten pm game time was 34 move in 70 minutes + 15 min. quick play

but we usualy play 125 min. for 34 moves + 20 mins.

the game ended after my opponents 32nd move my flag fell and I had not made the time control of 34 moves I could have kick myself.
