Hanging by a Thread

Kramnik's WC Match with Leko is very interesting. Going into the final, 14th game, he trailed 6-7 and needed a win to retain his title. He managed to hold on in a Caro-Kann, getting numerous positional advantages and marching his king up the board to force mate with his rook and knight.

Yes, quite something. Kramnik just gave it all he had and managed to win in a fantastic display of energy under immense pressure. Leko did play well but gave his opponent several advantages but that's all Kramnik needed to squeeze out a win. This king march looks similar to the king walk in (if I'm not mistaken) Petrosian-Botvinnik Game 5 of their world championship match.
