How I miss thee! Let me count the ways...

I was sent this photo yesterday - this waterfall is on the farm where I grew up! My FAVOURITE place to be! It is high up in the  mountains about 3-5km from our farmhouse.

The source of the waterfall - a lovely fountain. How I miss thee! Let me count the ways!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

hi Denver! Thank you for your message. Yes, it is a beautiful place. I was 5 when we went to the farm. [family farm] This place is in the Eastern part of the country - near the Kruger National Park/Pilgrims Rest -about 1 hour from Pilgrims Rest [historical town - from the Gold Rush] This area is a must-see if you go to South Africa - including the Garden Route. Thanks for your picture. Beautiful too!

What a Beautiful setting you posted.

When I was a kid until eight years old we spent summers on the beach of la Libertad in el Salvador, Central America. that was in 1946, 65 years ago.

This is a photo at sundown. I will never see it again.
