UNSOUND TACTIC DROPS A PIECE   

Key Points:   

1) Bird had the edge up through the middle game. 

2) A risky gambit for control lost a piece 

3) Leaving the defense of the 2nd rank allowed Horwitz to waltz in. 

4) Nice queen sacrifice tactic by Horwitz to remove the defender of the advancing passed pawn.

Nice posting.  There were a lot of great games from that tournament.
