May Lighting Strike!

Well today we had a tournament down at the University Golf Club and on the way there I called the manager to ask him to start setting up the tables. He informed me that he no longer worked there!!!

You can imagine my consternation. Here I am up early on a Sunday with my six year old and teenage daughter driving an hour to run a tournament and now I do not know if the place is ready. I continued on as I felt an obligation to meet the people who did come and see what was going on. When I got there the place was full of people and they did not have the room ready at all.

So, I told the few who did show up about the issue and gave them a card for a free entry to our next event.

Now I will be scouring the area for a new site perhaps downtown off of the "L" line. Stay tuned.

Sorry. The place was full of people eating as it was a banquet hall.

Sounds like a rough situation to be in.

But there was something that confused me: "...the place was full of people..." and then "...the few who did show up...".  Could you clarify? Did you have an angry mob?

Was it a good opportunity for your daughters to see Daddy demonstrate grace-under-pressure?
